I got an email from Jason Hooks.  Eric Brinkman says he can help with the skinning and fur handling on Saturday or water sets for Beaver.  Can anyone else help on behalf of the ATA?

Thanks.

Wayne,

I wanted to take a moment to give you a little info about the upcoming trapping workshop. This workshop will be February 1-3 held at Rick Evans Grandview Prairie Education Center. This is setup for women only as a Beyond BOW (Becoming an Outdoors Woman) event. Trapping and fur handling classes have been very popular the last couple years at the big BOW event.

This is the first multi day trapping event i have organized. I have a very rough draft of how the weekend will go.

6:00pm - 7:00pm Dinner
7:00pm - 8:30 or 9:00 Intro to trapping, history, tools and equipment, benefits of trapping, regulations, etc.

3:00pm -5:00pm skinning, putting up fur,
6:00pm -7:00pm Dinner
7:00pm - 9:00pm tanning hides

6:00am - 7:00am breakfast
7:00am - 10:00am Check traps

I do not have instructors lined up yet. If you know of some ATA members that would like to help, you can give them my contact info, and i will get them lined out. We can and will make time for a representative to talk about promote the ATA. If you have any suggestions or concerns with the agenda or topics, just let me know.

Thanks

Jason Hooks
