Found out as of a couple of weeks ago that White county still has Bounty money, don't know what happened but they usually got the money sometime after the 1st of the year and by the end of Feb. it was gone.  also, met the manager for the property I'm trapping on and he has more land in White and Prairie County, Prairie is out right now but will get more I think she said next month. If gas would have stayed down I might have gotten closer than I ever have to breaking even. LOL

I haven't cashed any tails in for a few years, I've been rendering them down. When I was relying on the bounty it was always a job in itself. The county judge here has supposedly put up his own money to pay for bounty in the past. I haven't talked to our county ext in a couple of years but for a while they were only earmarked for 1000$ a year..... I know of several guys in my area that soak that up themselves.....
I imagine if you're trying to break even you're planning on keeping the castor and the oil sacs?

Did the bounty for a few years, county would get money in jan and it would be gone feb, think the system was rigged in someone's favor because I checked in mar. this year and a different person was there and they still had money. mostly I just trapped for beaver in the summer for the farmers and in return they'd let me trap furbearers in the fall, the bounty just helped with gas, I don't know about everyone else but I'm gonna be in the woods anyway, it's just nice if you can get a little cash along to support the addiction.
