My, my. Doesn't seem like a year has gone by. Vettie, you are missed by a lot of folks. Your smile and laughter always made it worth the trip to see you and Sue. Tell the Lord to watch over us down here until we can meet again

i had just got use to stopping by and picking him up to go to my beaver traps not far from his house.
i will never forget the stories of the wild chickens they were paying him to catch, we would go to talking about his neighbor women with three kids that he would try to teach to trap.

I spent just about every morning of his last season with him on the porch at Jolley's store before running my line. Just ain't the same.
