Well, the convention was great!  Temps in the middle to upper 60's.  Anyone who didn't make it thinking it would be too hot should always check the weather.

Had a huge crowd of vendors who we, the ATA, greatly appreciate.

Officers were elected for the next two years and they are as follows:

President - Aaron Hitchcock
Vice President - Danny Ross
Sec./Tres. - Karen Fuller
Editor - Gary Helms

Make plans for next year!  September 12 at Petite Jean.

We had a great time at the convention. Saw a lot of old friends and made several new ones. The weather was great a little cold for those that only had short sleeves!!!! Thanks to all those who worked so hard to pull it off! Our districts seem to be making a positive change.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Tim we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We are at home if you need us call. Praying for all the family!

Yes it was a good convention. My grandson and I enjoyed it.  He got a couple of new mink traps and a trapping book. I picked up more than I intended to.  Met several new friends and visited with old ones. We even managed to leave going home WITHOUT one of those puppies! LOL

In the words of Sharon Davis whose drawings appear in several trapping magazines  'tis a mighty thing". Thumbs Up!

I visited with the Mather Lodge manager this morning while checking out and they plan to offer the same relaxed rule they did for us this year.  As it stands now, the two night minimum will be relaxed for next year.  I will confirm with the Director of Arkansas State Parks tomorrow but I don't foresee a problem.  They like us being there.

I hope most took advantage of it this year.  I paid for 2 nights for the 3 previous years and got a break this year!
