I am currently trapping beaver on a creek by my house. Its not very big but is miles long. This section holds water year round but in times of drought like last summer its just a big pool about 3/4 of a mile long or so. Its fun to trap because it is right down the road and convenient so my 6 year old son can go with me after school and check. But I don't want to trap them all so there will be some for us next year. I have caught 3 between 40 and 50 lbs. 2 male and 1 female. All within 100 yards of each other. Should I stop. I don't know how many there are for sure. I have heard more will move in but is that a for sure thing?
